UQ Sport coach recruited by Firebirds
UQ Sport's own stength and conditioning coach Anthony Wood has recently landed a job with the Queensland Firebirds
netball team. Anthony started with Queensland Netball in February through UQ Sport's High Performance division
, and by April had already helped the Queensland Under-19 team to a national title. This success lead to Anthony being offered a contract to oversee the strength and conditioning for the Queensland Under-21 and Australian Netball League teams. After proving himself at this level, Anthony last week stepped up into the position of Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Queensland Firebirds. UQ Sport is extremely proud to have a coach of Anthony's calibre among its ranks and wishes him all the best for this endeavour.
